Kate Hewko - Owner + Head Designer
The Kate Hewko collection is a progressive jewelry range designed to complement your lifestyle. Each piece will suit both casual and more formal occasions. This contemporary and cool stone and crystal jewelry is a hybrid of vintage and modern styles. The collection features ultrachic big rings, large natural stone necklaces and attractive earrings set with energy-giving crystals. Graduating with a Fashion Marketing Diploma from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Toronto and a BA in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, Kate Hewko launched her career in fashion throwing runway shows in Toronto's downtown core.
A job offer as a buyer for a Vancouver boutique moved Kate across the country, before taking a position in marketing for a large retail chain based out of Calgary. From there Kate decided working for others wasn't for her and opened her own progressive women's boutique.
In 2010 Kate closed down the boutique to start her family, but kept her hands in the local industry by producing and managing large scale fashion events including Alberta Fashion Week, Fabricated, and Runway Monthly. Jewelry lines were the top sellers at Kate’s boutique, so when she was ready to dive back in, Kate began retailing jewelry designers she loves. Quickly this progressed, Kate began designing and producing her own line and the Kate Hewko Label was born.
The Kate Hewko brand has now been featured in Vogue Korea, Harpers Bazaar Turkey, In Style Magazine, Bust Magazine, Lou Lou, Fashion Magazine, Flare, Refinery 29, Vitamin Daily, Avenue, Chic Par Le Germain, Calgary Herald, Vancouver Sun, Montreal Gazette, Global, Swerve Magazine, Branded, and on many other blogs across North America.
